Seminar
on Applications of Analytical Techniques in Geosciences
Date: 3rd
July 2004
Venue: Wadia
Institute of Himalayan Geology
33, Gen. Mahadeo Singh Road, Dehradun |
Indian
Society of Analytical Scientists(ISAS) - Delhi Chapter
is functioning since 1992 to serve the cause of analytical sciences
in this part of the country. The chapter organises National Symposia,
Workshops, Lecture Series, Training Programmes, etc on regular basis
for the benefit of scientists / technologists. In the light of the
above charter, we are organising a one day seminar on
Applications of Analytical Techniques in Geosciences.
Indian
Society of Analytical Scientists-Delhi Chapter (ISAS-DC) with its
head office at IOC R&D Centre, Faridabad is a multidisciplinary
body whose major functions are to organize seminars on various topics
covering role of analytical sciences in various discipline with particular
relevance to academics and industry. The society provides a common
platform for scientists to exchange ideas, keep themselves abreast
of the latest developments in various fields, thus promoting growth
of analytical sciences in the country.
The next seminar is being organized on the topic on “Applications
of Analytical Techniques in Geosciences”. One of the major
goals of Geosciences is to describe and understand the mother Earth.
Geosciences comprising of geology, geophysics, geochemistry and geotechnology
provide a source of knowledge on important issues like minerals, petroleum,
exploration, environment etc. Measurements and analytical techniques
are indispensable tools for scientific research and industrial development
in geosciences. For example, rock analyses by analytical techniques
provide information about prospects, reserves and potential of major
mineral deposits and crude oils that are hidden under thick layers
of rock debris. The present seminar on “Applications of Analytical
Techniques in Geosciences” will address issues involved &
cover applications of various analytical techniques in the characterization
of rocks and related materials. |
Technical
Fest for School Children
Date: 24th
July, 2004
Venue: Delhi
Public School, R.K. Puram, New Delhi |
We are
pleased to inform you that the “Indian Society of Analytical Scientists-Delhi
Chapter” (ISAS-DC), in association with Delhi Public School, R.K.
Puram, is organizing a Technical Festival on 24th
July, 2004 at Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram, New Delhi.
ISAS-DC
is an established scientific forum with Indian Oil R&D Centre
as its Headquarters. The society provides a common platform for
Analytical Scientists to exchange ideas, keep themselves abreast
of the latest developments in this field, thus promoting growth
of analytical sciences in the country. The society also organizes
technical festivals for school children in order to popularize sciences
in the younger generation of our country.
The
forthcoming “Technical Fest” will consist of various events like
painting competition, Model making, Debate/ Elocution, power-point
presentations etc. on the topics related to general sciences
having contemporary importance. The participants are being invited
from various schools of Delhi and Faridabad, nominated by the respective
Principals.
I take
pleasure in inviting your school to participate in the above Technical
Festival by nominating students for various activities. The nominations
may please be sent to the undersigned by post or e-mail (preferable)
latest by 10th July, 2004. We shall be pleased to send you
